Greek club AEK Athens to declare bankruptcy

ATHENS (AP) — Troubled Greek football club AEK Athens is planning to declare bankruptcy and seek voluntary relegation to the country's third division.

AEK Athens chairman arrested for unpaid taxes

ATHENS  (AP) —AEK Athens chairman Andreas Dimitrelos has been arrested over unpaid taxes by the Greek club worth (euro) 170 million ($219.5 million). The 54-year-old Dimitrelos was in police custody on Thursday and is due to testify before an inquiring magistrate on Friday.
