Xristos Anesti! In a world where everyone is moving at the velocity of high speed Internet, it’s refreshing to have you take a moment and stop by my corner café where the Kefi is forever flowing positively! Welcome! Kefi- Food Series
Christos Anesti! Welcome back to my corner café where my energy is flowing positively. Avid readers recall several of my past articles pertaining to the power, and or destruction of human fuel. As a human being, and as I evolve mentally and physically, I realize food holds the cards; we cannot live without food, yet we are killing ourselves with it. The overriding impact of food is shocking, and millions of Americans are not aware of the ramifications of bad food, or conversely the potential your body has to perform well with a nutritious energy source. Eminent reasons to begin the Kefi Food Series
Kefi- Mom
Christos Anesti! Thanks for stopping by my corner café today, where moms have first seating and first ordering. It is the season to pay tribute to moms across the globe, as Mother’s Day is approaching this Sunday. Mothers have a very distinct and crucial place in the world. They, and their role, must not be underestimated. Abraham Lincoln, one of our nation’s greatest and most profound presidents, attributed his achievements to his mother. “All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”

Kefi-Chronicles
Yiasas- Kale Tessaracoste! Welcome to my corner café where today I am serving my favorite Tevana Chai/green tea combination for myself and those seeking a relaxing Kefi flow. This tea ritual sets the tone for the rest of the day, and on this day I will need an extra boost with all the personal tasks I must tend to. First though, I must make sure everyone in the house is cared for, and that includes precious Athena!
Kefi-Self Check
Kale Tessaracoste! Welcome to my corner café during this season of Great Lent leading to Pascha. This particular time of year is so special to me, as I hope it is to you, in that it truly is a time of reflection combined with the actions that lead us to a deeper state of spirituality. Yes, we can unearth deep Kefi during Great Lent when we shift and move with a meaningful, beautiful and brighter energy.
KEFI- Dash
Yiasas! Thanks for making time to stop by the corner café during this season of reflection and Tessaracoste. I hope that your journey thus far has been beautiful and rewarding.
The impetus for this particular article was born from a conversation I had with a valued friend and avid Kefi reader, Spiro Angelos, during a mutual relative’s funeral. That memorial service was the first of nine to follow in a 2-month period.
KEFI-Andrew A. Athens
Yiasas! Welcome to my corner café where we keep that Kefi flowing positively. Your presence fills the café with great energy, just as does the person who naturally embodies Kefi, and works to spread it to our tremendous community. Andrew A. Athens is one of those devoted persons who, during his life on earth, spread good will and made each and every one of us better through his incomparable leadership. Today in the café, please join me in honoring Mr. Athens who was laid to rest last week.
Kefi-Heart
Yiasas! Happy Spring and thrilled to have you celebrate the new season in my corner café.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who has been reading KEFI for the past year. Yes, my column is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month. It’s truly my honor to reach out to you every week in The Greek Star, as the paper has evolved into a savvy publication for all Hellenic generations.
Kefi- Hellenism
Yiasas! I’m so happy to meet you in my corner café where the Kefi flows effortlessly and continuously. It’s equally moving to have had the opportunity to run into so many Kefi readers at the Ambrosia Ball last week. I was in seventh heaven to be a part of an evening that cultivates Hellenism by means of the nation’s one and only Hellenic Museum, nestled in the heart of Chicago’s Greektown. Many thanks to the Danos family and Oxford Insurance, for including my husband and me at their table!
