The New York Times on January 8 of this year published an article titled, “With Work Scarce in Athens, Greeks Go Back to the Land.” The author, Rachel Donadio, emphasized that “As Greece’s blighted economy plunges further into the abyss,” . . . “Greeks are fleeing to the countryside.”
